Newhaven Ferry Port Undergoes over
£1 million facelift!
Newhaven is currently undergoing a new port layout to improve the port facilities to aid the flow of passenger and freight traffic through the port. Plans are underway to tarmac the entire port area passenger and freight facilities, and develop the plans for a new, modern terminal to enhance the service the Port provides to passenger and freight traffic.
Improvements to date include:
· New Freight Drivers Lounge incorporating male & female showers, and rest area.
· Haven Cafe opened March 2008 and is enjoying a brisk trade selling good food at great prices, eat in or take away. Read more on our facilities page.
· New freight check-in facilities offers modern and speedy port transfer.
